Bombshell Report
The FDA isn't being honest with us. And they know it.
A stunning new study from the Ethics and Public Policy Center (EPPC) has revealed that the abortion pill is 22 times more dangerous than previously recognized in FDA data. The largest-ever study of its kind looked at 856,727 women who used mifepristone (Mifeprex), the first chemical used in the abortion pill regimen, and found that 10.93 percent of women experienced adverse events. The study cites an all-payer insurance database and found that sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging or other serious adverse events were experienced within 45 days of taking mifepristone -- a 22-fold increase over the 0.5 percent cited by the FDA and Danco, the manufacturer of the brand name chemical abortion pill Mifeprex.
This means that one in nine women have been harmed by the abortion Pill. Let that sink in. One in nine. It is shocking that the FDA still allows trafficking of such a dangerous protocol.
Network of Life sent three of us to the Heartbeat International Conference last week where we met Ryan T. Anderson, one of the authors of this groundbreaking study. One day earlier, President Trump announced that Dr. Anderson would be a member of the newly established Religious Liberty Commission.
Here's the summary from his Study:
This largest-known study of the abortion pill is based on analysis of data from an all-payer insurance claims database that includes 865,727 prescribed mifepristone abortions from 2017 to 2023.
10.93 percent of women experience sepsis, infection, hemorrhaging, or another serious adverse event within 45 days following a mifepristone abortion.
The real-world rate of serious adverse events following mifepristone abortions is at least 22 times as high as the summary figure of “less than 0.5 percent” in clinical trials reported on the drug label.
The FDA should immediately reinstate its earlier, stronger patient safety protocols to ensure physician responsibility for women who take mifepristone under their care, as well as mandate full reporting of its side effects.
The FDA should further investigate the harm mifepristone causes to women and, based on objective safety criteria, reconsider its approval altogether.
We knew this already
"Am I ok?"
Our staff gets this call routinely. The caller has taken abortion pills and is now experiencing unexpected symptoms and outcomes. In many cases, she has called the number provided on the pill instructions. Sometimes she is coldly directed to the Emergency Department. Sometimes there is no one answering the call at all.
When she finds us, she finds a medical professional who listens to her symptoms and addresses her concerns. Many times we can see her the same day, assess her needs, and direct her to the best possible care. Beyond the symptoms, we listen as she describes her procedure. She was alone, at home. Things didn't go as she was told. We hear her story, her fears, and her regrets.
But seeing this data reminds us that we need to reach more. Thousands in Pittsburgh and surrounding neighborhoods are suffering in silence and face the physical and emotional aftermath of what has been masquerading as "women's healthcare." Thousands more are considering this dangerous pill as they make pregnancy decisions.
