After a short break, Fact Check Friday is returning every other week to address today's headlines and dig into the facts behind the stories. Today we take a look at some accusations and some surprising facts about what we do.

For decades the abortion proponents have hurled the same tired accusations at pregnancy centers. Maybe you have heard them too. There's an old political rule that whatever your opposition is saying about you reveals what they are already doing and want to cover up. So true. Baseless allegations, "hit piece" news articles, and pro-abortion rally cries deflect the realities about the failings and scandals within "big abortion."

We don't hide the fact that we are a Christian outreach. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is central to all we do. Our Board, Staff, and Volunteers are people of faith. We bring the Truth of God's Word to those who need it most.

We are intentional about loving people where they are while opening up opportunities to be all they can be. We serve both men and women regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or creed.

3.   We Are Medical

Three Medical Directors oversee our team. Each Center is staffed by RNs.

Ultrasounds are performed by RDMS specialists and read by our Physicians. STD testing & treatment is available at all of our locations. We provide abortion pill reversal to those who’ve begun a medical abortion. Maternal and infant health are a key priority.

4.   We Are Transformational

Our programs foster long term relationships. Our Centers are located in easily accessible areas near those with the greatest need so that face-to-face encounters can continue. Life Support, Doctor Dad, and Breathe After Abortion Care are vital long-term programs that allow healing, growth, and life transforming relationships.

Filling Healthcare Gaps

Each of our Three "Women's Choice Network" clinics provide these vital health care services to men and women at no charge.

• Pregnancy Testing and Early Ultrasound confirm pregnancy and determine gestational age, viability and placement in the uterus. Our RDMS Sonographers may detect ectopic pregnancies, indications of miscarriage, and other vial health risks as early as 4 weeks in pregnancy.

• STD Testing and Treatment. Those at risk for abortion may also be at risk for STDs. Our RNs test and can treat many STDs on site.

• Early Pregnancy Consults. Our RNs meet with moms and dads as early as possible to assess, offer prenatal vitamins, get baseline weight and blood pressure. We fill an important gap while women wait to get into prenatal care. According to a new study at the CDC, early care in pregnancy improves the chances of having a healthy pregnancy and baby. The same study also found that early care has been on the decline.“We know that early engagement in prenatal care is linked to better overall health outcomes,” said Dr. Clayton Alfonso, an OB-GYN at Duke University in North Carolina. When patients delay medical care during pregnancy, “we’ve missed that window to optimize both fetal and maternal care.”

• Wellness Journey. After the Early Pregnancy Consult, couples enroll in our Wellness Journey classes throughout pregnancy and beyond. While the classes don't replace prenatal care, they build skills and relationships that provide a strong and essential support system. Best of all, the journey promotes the choice for Life and Abundant Life in Christ!
