“Finding Courage to Choose Life” — Sadie’s Story of Fear, Family, and Faith

Sadie first came to us in early 2024 during her first pregnancy. She had multiple ultrasounds with us, and we prayed she would choose life—but ultimately, she decided to have an abortion. While our hearts were heavy, we never stopped praying that God would bring transformation to her story. Little did we know, we would see Sadie again much sooner than expected.

In the fall of 2024, Sadie walked through our doors once more—pregnant again. This time, something was different. Her heart seemed open, and she wanted to share the struggles she was facing, almost as if she was looking for a way out of having another abortion.

Sadie shared her biggest fear: growing up in a wealthy home where her parents—especially her father—taught her that children should only come into the world when you are financially set. Even though Sadie was in a committed relationship and had resources, she didn’t feel she measured up to her parents’ standards. She was terrified to tell them.

Over the next several weeks, we walked closely with Sadie—through conversations, encouragement, and prayer. Then one day, her voice beamed with joy over the phone: “Guess what! You’ll never believe what I just did—I told my family, and they were so excited!”

That moment changed everything. With her family’s support, Sadie began to embrace the joy of her pregnancy. Both she and her baby’s father started attending our Infant Care and Birth Mapping classes, asking questions—not out of fear, but from a place of excitement and preparation. Through the support of our ministry partners and friends at The Nest, they received practical help and hope for the journey ahead.

In May 2025, Sadie gave birth to her baby. But her delivery was not without complications. Her little one was placed in the NICU with hypoxia, and Sadie developed preeclampsia that led to liver failure.

Today, we are asking for continued prayers for Sadie and her baby—for healing, restoration, and protection.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
