“I Just Wanted to Crawl Into God’s Presence” — Aida’s Journey From Confusion to Courage

Unlike many of our clients, Aida came to us determined to carry. She shared her desire to explore adoption and admitted that while abortion was not an option she could ever imagine, parenting felt equally overwhelming. What she needed was information, reassurance, and a safe place to process the whirlwind of emotions swirling within her.
One moment stood out deeply to our staff. As Aida described the heaviness she was carrying, “There are so many thoughts racing through my mind... I just want to crawl into God’s presence.” she said, “ She longed for peace, for comfort in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
We believed then that Aida would choose life—but we also knew she needed continued support and clarity, especially around adoption. That’s why we invited her to return for the next step in our Pregnancy Wellness Journey.
When Aida came back for her early pregnancy consultation, everything had changed. This time, she was panicked. Her mind was now fixed on abortion. The fear had become louder than the truth. The shift was heartbreaking—but not uncommon. Pregnancy decisions aren’t made in a single moment—they’re often shaped by the quiet (and loud) voices surrounding a woman every day. Our staff gently reminded her of her earlier conviction—the part of her that couldn’t fathom ending her child’s life—and encouraged her to slow down, take a breath, and reflect. She returned for one more appointment, this time to talk through goals and possible paths forward.
And then—silence.
Aida stopped responding. She became distant, unreachable. Her last message said she was too confused to continue coming to our center. We feared the worst. Our team continued to reach out with gentle, non-judgmental support, reminding her that no matter what, we were still here.
And then, nearly a month before her due date, the phone rang.
It was Aida.
With excitement, she shared that she had chosen life—and decided to parent her baby.
She gave birth to a healthy, beautiful child. Both mom and baby are doing well, and we are praying that Aida returns for her fourth trimester visit so we can celebrate together and offer continued support for this new season.
Aida’s story is more than a testimony of courage—it’s proof of how essential ongoing, practical care is in a woman’s decision-making process.
She was one of the first clients to go through our revamped Pregnancy Wellness Journey, and her experience revealed just how impactful it can be. Before these classes, many clients had no real reason to return. Now, with offerings like our early pregnancy consultation, birth mapping, early infant care, breastfeeding class, and fourth trimester visit, we provide tangible support that keeps clients engaged—and connected to the truth.
If Aida hadn’t returned for that second step, her story could have ended very differently. But because we had a reason to bring her back, and because you continue to support this mission, her baby is alive today.
We ask for your prayers over Aida and her baby—that she would find strength, stability, and a strong community as she embraces motherhood.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.” – Isaiah 26:3
